Christmas Fayre

Parent Staff Association

Parkstone Grammar School has a friendly and lively PSA organisation. The aim of the PSA is to raise funds for the school and add value to the amenities already enjoyed by all students.

The PSA raises funds through various functions including an ever popular quiz evening and the Christmas Fayre. Money has been raised to purchase stadium seating in the lecture theatre, a new sound system for the hall, new hall and stage curtains, a second new minibus and last year the funds contributed to the outfitting of the new Sports Hall and Art, Mathematics and Technology Block. These are elements that enrich students’ lives and to which the school budget does not always extend.

Our last Christmas Fayre was very well attended. At the Fayre the draw took place to find out who had won prizes in the PSA Christmas Raffle and we would like to thank Fraser Portraits, The Royal Bath Hotel, Hotel du Vin, The Harbour Heights Hotel, Virgin Active, First Choice Limousines, Lush, Level hair salon, Canford Magna Golf Club, Splashdown & Chiquito's, Bowlplex & TGI Friday's, Brownsea Island Ferries Ltd and the Tank Museum for kindly donating prizes. From the raffle and sales on the day over £3500 was raised and we are very grateful to everyone who helped to make this event such a success.

THE CENTENARY CLUB

The School celebrated its centenary during 2005 and as part of the fund-raising activities the PSA launched the “Centenary Club”. This is a scheme whereby you are invited to subscribe as little as £1 per month. Half of the money raised is retained by the PSA for the benefit of the school, the other half is returned to subscribers as prize money.
