Parkstone Grammar School has an Accessibility Plan which incorporates access to the physical environment as well as access to communications and curriculum information.
Please find a copy of our Accessibility Plan here
- Physical Access
It is important to us that our school is accessible to all students, staff and visitors. If you feel that we can make reasonable adjustments that will enable you to access our school safely, please contact us prior to your visit where possible. Alternatively, please make our reception staff aware of your needs upon arrival and we will be happy to discuss how we can assist you to access our site and ensure safe evacuation in the event of an emergency.
- Information Access
Please let us know if we can support with assistive technology such as Braille translation, language translation, touch screen devices, text-to-speech software or pictures/symbols software.
The majority of our parent/carer communications are shared electronically. Please let us know if you need to receive communications in a different format or language to ensure you feel fully informed about your child.
- Curriculum Access
Please let us know if we can provide more support to enable a student to access our curriculum. Adjustments might include: changes to teaching and learning, classroom organisation, timetabling, support from other students or assistive technology.
Trips and visits are a crucial experience to consolidate learning and bring our curriculum to life. It is therefore an essential part of our planning process to ensure reasonable adjustments are made so this vital opportunity is accessible to all.
