Year 9 Religion & Philosophy students, along with students from three other local schools, had the absolute privilege of hearing our guest, Hanna, talk about her father Yehuda Bacon who became an artist.
At the age of thirteen, Yehuda was deported with his family from Ostrava to Theresienstadt and later sent to Auschwitz. He survived and was liberated in May 1945. Yehuda’s artwork served as evidence in trials against Nazi criminals, including the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem and the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trials.
