Parent Voice
Our relationship with parents and carers is very important to us. Working together we can support your child to thrive at Parkstone.
For that reason we value your opinions and views on how we can improve. You can email Mr Hallsworth direct with any suggestions at headteacher@Parkstone.poole.sch.uk. Alternatively, you can meet him at Parents’ Evening or make an appointment to come in and chat. Please also leave feedback for Ofsted by following this link to the Ofsted Parent View page.
Parents Survey – Spring 2025
Our 2025 Parent Survey Results show high levels of satisfaction across many areas of school life, including the quality of teaching, communication with families, and the care and support provided for pupils. Parents particularly highlighted that they are kept informed about the curriculum and the progress children are making in their learning. We are proud of this positive feedback and will continue to build on these strengths. 86% of responders confirmed that they would recommend Parkstone to another Parent.
Communications Survey – Summer 2024
With the aim of reducing the quantity and frequency of letters home to Parents, a new consolidated communication was developed in Summer 2024 and all of our parents were invited to give feedback via an electronic questionnaire.
Feedback confirmed that 84% of respondents preferred the consolidated approach and the new format was introduced in September 2024.
Some of the feedback we received :
“The simple change of making it clear which letter is for info and which needs an action is unbelievably helpful. Thanks for being mindful of parent time and resource and looking for ways to make things easier for us. Very grateful to PGS”
“The new format seems much better and was easy to use. It will also be good to know that communication will be once a week on the same day as we will know to look out for it. Thank you”
“Much better solution and will make finding messages simpler”
“Making it easier to find letters/info would be a welcome improvement. Having one weekly roundup letter would make it less likely to miss information”
