The Post 16-19 Bursary is a fund to help 16 – 19 year olds facing financial hardship to stay on in full time education after Year 11 and are aged under 19 on 31 August in the academic year in which they start their programme of study.
Students turning 19 during their programme of study can continue to be supported to the end of the academic year in which they turn 19, or to the end of the programme of study, whichever is sooner.
Bursaries may be awarded, in exceptional circumstances, to students who are younger than the statutory school leaving age.
