Parkstone Grammar School Statement:

In response to the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement, the school is constantly reflecting on how it can play a positive role going forward. We realise we have a duty to send out a clear message that racism is not tolerated.
We are categorical that we will not tolerate racism and that ignorance and prejudice are never acceptable. We acknowledge that schools can play a major role in dismantling systemic racism.

We have made some progress via our curriculum, ethos and vision, but we also know that there is much still to do and it is appropriate that we reflect on how we can continue to play a positive role going forwards. We are committed to listening to our community, to drive change and to better equip our students with the knowledge they need to understand and address complex social issues as well as recognise and combat racism.
